Gallbladder Cleanse Didnt Work
Certainly, the most exciting part of the gallbladder cleanse is the flush. You drink the famous olive oil grapefruit drink , and go to sleep. If everything works according to plan, you get up in the morning and start to eliminate gallstones. But, what if you get up in the morning and there are no stones? What could possibly went wrong?
Solution: The gallbladder cleanse diet
Surprisingly, many liver cleanse recipes overlook a key step, the gallbladder cleanse diet. What you eat in the four days prior to the flush, and most importantly, what you should not eat, can significantly affect the outcome.
In addition to the obvious processed foods, high sugars, alcohol and other unhealthy foods to avoid , you also want to limit your protein and fat intake.
Fat and protein trigger the gallbladder to squeeze itself empty. So, when you keep these low, you allow the bile to build up and develop more pressure in the liver, thus, help to eliminate more toxins after you drink the olive oil.
So, for best results, keep your fats and proteins as low as possible the night before and during the day you plan to drink the olive oil. With that said, theres no need to go to the extreme and be on a zero fat and protein diet. Just eat light, and avoid high protein and high fat foods.
Apples & Cloudy Apple Juice
Apples are well known for their many health benefits. Overall health, and more specifically, liver and gallbladder health.
The research data suggests that cloudy apple juice can regulate various liver enzymes, and therefore may protect the liver from damage .
Is cloudy apple juice better than clear or pure juice?According to research, it is four times better. A pulish study that tested this exact question, found that cloudy apple juice contains four times more the concentration of polyphenols than the clear juice .
For this reason, you may want to keep the pulp when you make the apple juice.
More on apple juice and liver cleansing. In his best-selling book, The Amazing Liver Cleanse, Andreas Moritz recommended to drink apple juice daily during the liver cleanse. According to Andreas:
Malic acid in apple juice does exceptionally well in dissolving some of the stagnant bile and making the stones softerThe malic acid in the apple juice softens the gallstones and makes their passage through the bile ducts easy.

In order to achieve maximum results, it is recommended that individuals follow a specific diet and exercise plan when in the process of performing a cleanse.

What About The Sites Claiming This Gallstone Remedy Is A Hoax And You Are Not Really Passing Stones

Other readers who had ultrasounds before the cleanse showing gallstones and after the cleanse showing none. There is one reader who showed a decreased number of stones and was planning on doing another cleanse to get of rid them.

What To Do To Get Rid Of Gallstones
You may want to try this apple cleanse, if you frequently feel bloated after a heavy meal .
Eating apples in various formsfruit, juice, or saucehelp to soften the gallstones.
There are no dietary restrictions during the regime. You can eat your usual balanced meals.
- On the sixth day, continue to eat about 4 to 5 apples. Then try to have your evening or last meal of the day earlier.
- Wait 1 to 2 hours after dinner before taking a teaspoon of Epsom salt dissolved in warm water or apple juice.
- Then wait for another 1 to 2 hours and take a second teaspoon of Epsom salt dissolved in warm water of apple juice. I prefer to mix the Epsom salt with apple juice to make it more agreeable to swallow.
The magnesium sulfate in the Epsom salt helps to open the gallbladder ducts.
- Then wait for another hour or so before drinking your concoction of ½ cup of olive or sesame oil with ½ cup of fresh lemon juice.
You can also use just ¼ cup of each instead. The oil helps to lubricate and loosen the softened stones, helping to ease their passage out.
Why Your Gallbladder Is Important
We now know that the gallbladder serves multiple functions in the body.Bile production occurs in the liver and drips down the duct for storage in the gallbladder. The gallbladder empties the conjugated bile, a brilliant green color, into the small intestine on demand to help digest food, especially fats and oils.

What Methods Do Doctors Typically Use To Treat Gallbladder Pain
There are two primary ways doctors typically address gallbladder pain. The first is by prescribing an oral medication such as Motrin, which increases bile flow by promoting synthesis of bile acids while reducing inflammation or Prilosec, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the production of excess stomach acid.
The second method involves surgery. If the patient experiences constant and severe pain due to an inflamed gallbladder, surgically removing it can provide immediate relief while also eliminating the risk of a future attack.

Apple Juice For Gallstones: Does It Really Help
Drinking apple juice for gallstones is not an effective remedy for softening gallstones. Although, there have been claims wherein people vouch for the efficacy of apple juices in softening gallstones.
According to Dr. Brent A. Bauer of the Mayo Clinic¹, doing a gallbladder cleanse or flush is used to remove gallstones from the body. However, there is no sufficient data or evidence to prove that it does indeed prevent or treat gallstones. Or any other digestive condition, for that matter.
Aside from apple juice, there are those who eat or drink herbs and olive oil, believing that this will help dislodge or dissolve gallstones. Then, it encourages the body to release it during defecation.
While its true that olive oil is a known laxative, more research is needed to find out if it can work for gallstones.
Like most remedies or treatments, this type of cleansing comes with its own set of risks. There are those who report experiencing pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
If gallstones do not cause symptoms, treatment is not usually required. But in the event that these stones do require treatment, its best to consult a doctor. Treatments may involve sound wave therapy or surgical removal.
My Experience With Doing The Liver And Gallbladder Flush
It took me four liver and gallbladder cleanses until I had no stones. The first gallbladder and liver cleanse yielded the most stones, where I passed at least 20-30 stones. By the fourth cleanse I only passed a couple of small gallbladder stones and some chaff.
Every cleanse felt a bit different. Sometimes I was more nauseous. One time I was physically exhausted the day of and after the liver and gallbladder flush.
During one of my cleanses, I felt a slight flutter under the right ribcage. I also felt moderate nausea after drinking the olive oil mixture with gurgling in my stomach.
In general, my health improved after the liver and gallbladder flushes. I noticed increased energy levels and clearer skin. My bowel movements and fat digestion improved. I also noticed after a couple of gallbladder flushes that the acid reflux that I was prone to significantly improved and was almost gone.
The liver and gallbladder flush by Andreas Moritz was one of the most intense yet rewarding cleanses I have ever done. This cleanse played a huge part in my journey through healing SIBO and improving my health.
The liver and gallbladder flush can be a bit intense for some people. I now recommend doing a liver and gallbladder cleanse first through diet and supplements that help to support the production and flow of bile from a sluggish gallbladder.
Before implementing the liver and gallbladder flush by Andreas Moritz try a gentle gallbladder apple juice cleanse with lemon.

Who Shouldnt Do A Gallbladder Flush
People who have recently had surgery should not participate in a gallbladder flush, as there is a much higher risk of complications because the body is recuperating and doesnt need the added stress.
Others who shouldnt participate in a gallbladder flush are individuals under 18, when menstruating, feeling under the weather and women who are pregnant or nursing. Additionally, it is always smart to check with your healthcare provider to be sure you are in a generally healthy condition.
If Your Gallbladder Has Been Removed
If your gallbladder has been removed, you can still do this gallbladder/liver cleanse as there is an even higher probability of stones accumulating in your liver, now that it can no longer accumulate in your gallbladder.
My clients who have had their gallbladder removed and who did this cleanse, were able to purge out many stones. They have reported better health and energy level after doing this cleanse.
